Wholesale Blank T Shirts, Great For Extras

I was once hired as an extra on an episode of The Sopranos. It was incredibly exciting. I sat right behind Paulie “Walnuts” in a crowded movie theater. He scolded the actor with a speaking part next to me (for the scene). I actually appeared on the show. I was sitting right in the corner of the screen when the episode finally aired nearly a year after filming. How did I, a person who had up to that point never done extra work before, get such a plumb spot in the crowd? What was it about me that made me stand out?

The reasons are not so glorious or special.

Simply put I was wearing blank clothing. When we lined up to get placed in the scene anyone wearing clothing with writing or branding of any kind was immediately moved into areas where the camera would be unable to focus on what adorned their clothing. Meanwhile folks like me, who buy wholesale blank t shirts, were placed in the best spots and allowed to get their face in a bit of television history.
