Designing Your Own Blank Clothing

Alright, so you realize just how much the brand name stores are ripping you off. You get a simple tee with some generically designed print and their name printed in huge letters across the front and what are you expected to pay? Twenty-five dollars or more? Why? Is there any reason we should subject ourselves to highway robbery when we could make some much nicer if we just printed our own designs onto blank clothing.

That’s the glory of screen printing and heat transfer. You buy yourself a whole bunch of wholesale blank clothing and you do the design transfer yourself. You have complete control what goes where, what funny phrase it will say or what picture it will feature. You avoid the walking billboard scenario you get with brand name clothing. This is also an opportunity for you to finally be unique.

If you’re clever enough and you get noticed for your zany style you can turn your little t-shirt making operation into an enterprise. Plenty of start-ups begin with a clever idea and it catches on like wildfire. Next thing you know you have an international market begging for your artwork on all of their clothes. You become the person who designs those patterns for the brand names and thus you come full circle.
